Chapters may nominate one individual each year by May AGA's National President accountahts special awards to recognize individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the success of its programs during that President's term.

The National President is responsible for identifying and selecting tear individuals so honored. AGA sponsors an Author Award in recognition of the article in AGA's flagship publication, the Journal of Government Financial Management, that makes the most significant contribution to the literature of the profession during the preceding program year.
